Same story almost- preclampsia with my daughter as her blood pressure became dangerously high, the baby began to go in distress- I was in the waiting room and suddenly witnessed a flurry of activity and nurses running into the OR. I thought my brain was being squeezed into a pretzel I was so frightened. They immediately put her under and delivered Raven by C-section. The babies were put in incubators - they were one month early!! Now one is in the Squirt league Baseball team and the other gymnastics. Plus a littl brother joined them later- born like a breeze.

Your story brought back all the memories of it all. Great evocative, writing as usual.Cybele Moonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10435712093763524754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4526732660511666290.post-27923298337161437382012-04-30T20:20:13.178+01:002012-04-30T20:20:13.178+01:00You've made me cry! Your second experience was...You've made me cry! Your second experience was very much like my first - except I ended up having an emergency c-section. I still regret that I couldn't have had Big Sis 'normally'. My second ended up a c-section too - which, as it turns out, was lucky as I had lesions from the first delivery that would have caused a lot of damage. But even though I had no choice, I still can't help feeling a bit of a failure for not being able to do what is supposed to be THE most natural thing in the world. On the flip side, however, if I'd been born 100 years earlier I'd have almost certainly have died in childbirth. When you put it like that, it doesn't seem like such a big deal after all!!! xxJacqui Paterson https://www.blogger.com/profile/17315907330389903524noreply@blogger.com
